Hybrid Systems Approach for Networked Control Systems Subjected to Random Communication Delays

چکیده

Control loops wherein communication channels are used for information exchange are called networked control systems (NCSs). Modeling of networked and complex control systems has been identified as the future directions of research in control systems. In this paper, we present a hybrid systems framework for modeling networked control systems. Later, we present the conditions for stabilizability of NCSs using hybrid systems framework. Simulation results are shown to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed model to capture the dynamics of the channel. It is seen from our results that an otherwise unstable system can be stabilized by switching among candidate controllers provided the conditions on dwell time are met.
